PostSubject: Preparation (too close for comfort)   Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:15 pm

There’s a crack in a dam
in a sleepy little town
An armor’s breach ever so slight
By all appearances completely sound
awakening in a foggy pre-dawn
morning dew kissing softly well manicured lawns
Smell of cozy home fires fill the air
bacon and eggs, fresh brewed coffee nostrils can’t help but flare
On the edge of town outside of a tiny chapel
a message board reads:
“all are welcome here”
A stranger passing through on a mission
tries the door but it is locked
so he kneels before the cross outside
On his way through several states of a grief filled journey
answering a desperate call
will he make it in time?
Can anyone recall when the doors of churches were open at any time of day or night?
it was very different then
Now it seems like everything is on lockdown
can’t be too careful what with vandals about and all
dot every eye a cross hangs on every tee
the enemy never sleeps
And yet with every precaution that was taken
there is an oil tanker run aground
on the shore of this little town
a massive black hand spreading out
Choking out life spreading like a plague
an s.o.s. goes out
containment crews delayed by a fierce storm
The sleepy little town it’s fisheries their mainstay
will never be the same
the dam… the townsfolk proudly built with their own hands
HELD…
But a crude awakening awaited on the shores of a bay
in a town called…
“Stay away”
 Thessalonians 2:11
It is here,
the signs are clear
(be prepared)
