PostSubject: the easiest One to hurt...   Sat Jul 19, 2014 2:31 pm

"Not now, son...I can't really play with you"
"Why don't you grab your little brother and go find something to do"
"When I get home we can play a brand new game"
but when I get home, everything remains the same...
Time is so precious, but no time for my child
as he wiped away his tears and he stubbornly smiled
They are the ones I would never think I would ever desert
Why are the ones we love the most...the easiest ones to hurt...

"What's the problem, girl...now what did I do"

"I know I saw that guy straight eyeballin' you"
"When we get home I'm taking back my name"
and when we get home, everything remains the same...
Trust is so precious, but no trust for my wife
as she wipes away her tears caused by my messed up way of life
and I see her mascara dripping...leaving smudges on her shirt
Why are the ones we love the most...the easiest ones to hurt...

"I got caught again, mom...this time a year or two"

"Ain't nothin' changed...ain't nothin' new"
"When I come home I'm gettin' out of the game"
yet when I get home, everything remains the same...
Tears are so precious falling from my mother's eyes
and I don't even see her pain as we say our goodbye's
I'm wearing jailhouse pants and a jailhouse shirt
Why are the ones we love the most...the easiest ones to hurt...

"Forgive me, Father...I don't know what else to do"

"Everybody left me, now I leave it up to you"
"When I come home I will no longer feel the shame"
for when I come home, nothing remains the same...
Life is so precious, yet I lived my life dead
and I was losing my mind behind the thoughts in my head
Three spikes, one cross...driven into the dirt
Why is the One who loves me the most...the easiest One to hurt...
