Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall staring back at me
So I thought until I recognize the reflection in the mirror
Then I fell down weeping at my brokenness
So many of us walk around thinking we’re ok the way we are
Not realizing we’re walking on our own cracked eggshells
Before seeking help need to swallow the pride that pushed us
Jesus is the Messiah that will put broken pieces back together
By the power of His cross, His blood is the glue that fixes us again
His forgiveness has made us clean and has made us new
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall again still staring back at me
Thought I was made like new again when Jesus came into me
But I am falling down again broken
So many of us walk around thinking just because I call myself Christian
That we’ll never be broken, feel pain again, that life will be all riches and glory
Not realizing the world would break us because of His glory
Jesus keeps fixing us His blood never runs dry, but we still keep walking away
Before He’s finished never realizing we’re missing pieces until we fall down again
Our pride keeps pushing us towards the edge until we fall
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, but this time when I fell broken
Asked Jesus to take my pride in total surrender while on my knees
We became whole, no longer fragile, but strong like a Rock, like Jesus
