Vast and wide
a few inches deep
walk across water
no place to sink

Searching for a place
to be fully immersed
cast in a role
completely unrehearsed

A heart pours out
ad-libs the unstudied script
he never meant to trip
no one asked if he was alright

When he stands back up
the audience stands up too
a standing ovation
and a tragic comic genius is born

World theatres filled to capacity
to see the falling man
every word that proceeds from his mouth now is funny
for he has been typecast a clown

He's hilarious...
has em' all in stitches
they laugh in anticipation
before he utters a single word

He's been crying out
"help me!"
drowned out by hysterical laughter
and not a soul has heard

This forces me to ask myself: "am i stuck in the past?"
Why even write something like this?
When one is raised avoiding painful realities by using humor as a cover, distraction, diversion from unaddressed issues pretending not to see until we eventually will ourselves into a hypnotic blindness, it is a very destructive and dangerous thing.
How many people do we all know who suffer in silence by covering up with false joy, fake smiles, false laughter, while dying inside?
Wonder why we don't feel the joy they feel, desire something unreal?
How many people's cupboards are bare and yet if you ask them, they'll say they're alright because they are too proud to be seen as needy?
How many people don't see a doctor till it's too late, simply because they have no coverage and can't afford to go?
We slip, we fall, dust ourselves off and keep walking...
with broken bones, lacerations and hurting inside.
Becoming number and number to the pain with each subsequent fall, till it is not felt at all?
Why wear night vision goggles in the broad daylight, when the Son is risen?
I write these things all the time but i don't always post them, it's a real downer but suffering is real and if you suffer then it's an affirmation that you can in fact feel. A heart of stone feels nothing for themselves nor anyone else.
If one stays in the safety of shallows, then one will never learn how to swim.

If you've read this far, then it is already too late to avert your eyes for you have seen and cannot deny what you've read nor Whom i serve.
I could tell you but ultimately, that is only for you to decide.

Maybe i'll see you around, God Bless.
