My mother is a huge anti-Christian, and her mother is dying of pancreatic cancer, for which there is no cure. It has now spread to her liver. they've given her weeks to live. My mum is just getting more and more distraught and angry, especially at God. We need prayer, not just for my grandma to live, but for my mother to find His hope nad Peace. for my mother to not hate God but to be angry with righteousness at satan for his misleading. Please pray for this as well.

Thanks heaps again, family.
Jak

An extremely belated response/update RE: Nana and Luke/Heide

Nana passed away as a result of the cancer; not before reuniting family and, indirectly mending broken relationships that appeared irreparable. Our God is the Reconciler.

A month later, my mother lost her sister to lung cancer. Before she passed, my Aunty, read a letter that The Lord had instructed me to write, including most of Isaiah 43. She gave her heart to The Lord, after 30 years of crime and addiction. Our God is the Redeemer.

Luke had two years of remission before he passed. His journey, cut short in our eyes, sparked a revival in the prayer lives - and faith - of our entire church. It was a seed of revolution! His wife and daughter survived him and are some of the happiest, most passionate people ive met. Our God is the Author.

Heide passed a week after Luke. She shared communion with her unsaved family before she passed, talking about salvation. Then, she is recorded as having died verbally praising Jesus. Our God is the Perfecter.

Like many, I've dealt with a dozen family/friend deaths over the last few years. But three things are ever more certain:

- We weren't created for death, so there is no formula or peace by any human means, to deal with it. There was no death when God breathed His own breath into Adam. Grief and loss are so difficult because death goes against our inward design and the inherent nature of God in all of us.

- God is in control. The plan is His. The purpose is His. The passion is His. So we need to trust that "the end of the song is not truly the end, just a break before the new verse" - in the songs that He sings over us - even if that break is an unexpected loss or apparently 'unanswered prayer'. God answers EVERY prayer; He just won't always answer it how we want, and He has to wait until we're tuned/refined enoough to receive it.

- There is nothing more important than salvation. Jesus gave one commission - heal the sick, preach the good news, love one another --> empowered by His spirit, His word and His guidance. Every opportunity is one to overflow salvation - for the unreached, for the ignorant, for the unsure, for the reached, for the mature, for our leaders - for the sick relative or wealthy property manager; for the ex-wife or the car-thief, every response and proactive effort must be for Salvation and in Love.

No trial should leave us unchanged. Uneducated. Untouched. (neither disempowered or dissatisfied).

Just some thoughts.

P.S.       ENDLESS GRATITUDE FOR YOUR PRAYERS; GOD LISTENS; GOD'S MYSTERIOUS.

When I first read this I prayed Jak.
But these words of yours through all of this adversity are clear evidence of The Holy Spirit working in you...I am very moved and grateful.
